Friends of the Brandon Town Hall
Press Release
May 26, 2009:
The Brandon Town Hall Summer Spruce-Up
The Brandon Town Hall will be a very busy place this June. During the coming weeks, the portico at the top of the building’s elegant marble steps will be resurfaced in stone, much of the main hall will be painted, the wood floor will be buffed and refinished, and the new fire-suppression system will be connected. Upon approval of the fire-suppression system by the state, the Town Hall will finally be re-opened for daily use by the residents and friends of Brandon.
The Friends of the Brandon Town Hall are currently raising funds to help pay for the paint and other supplies needed to spruce up the Town Hall, and invite their neighbors to join them as they apply a little elbow grease in the service of their community. Community members can drop donations—or contact information, if they’d like to volunteer their time—in the special paint cans hosted by Gourmet Provence, Carr’s Florist & Gifts, The Brandon Artists’ Guild, Shapiro’s Country Department Store, Briggs Carriage Bookstore, and The Inside Scoop.
