Thanks to people like you, we have invested more than $1,000,000 in the Town Hall in building upgrades and repairs.  The Brandon Town Hall needs you to help continue our mission!  We cannot succeed without the support of community members and friends like you.

October is the time of our " Annual Campaign " for donations, but they are welcome any time of the year.  Donations are used to continue the building renovations.

What has been done so far:

*New Marble Steps & Railings
*Exterior bricks repointed
*Exterior building painted
*Reconstruct the front staircase and install a handicap lift
* Fire Suppression System (2008)
*Replace the crumbling cement portico with bluestone (2008)
*Electric Upgrades (2008)
*Interior Painting (2008)
*New Theater Curtains & Grid (2008)
*Purchase and installation of Multi-Media Mixing Board, Projector & Screen (2008)
*Installation of 2 New Electric Service Boxes and major upgrading of existing electric wiring & installation of theater lighting (2009)
*Installation of 4 new overhead lights in Main Hall (2010)
*Complete renovation of the Basement (2012) including:
       Electrical upgrades
       Demolition work (including removing walls for former selectboard and listers room, & the men's bathroom
       Install new utility/water/sewer lines for new bathrooms
       New raised cement floor for bathrooms
       Install radiant heat for bathrooms
      Resurface floor in new foyer in basement
      New exterior door
      New Oil tank and water heater
      Install handicap compliant cement sidewalk
      Construct enclosed stairway from back stage to basement
      Install energy efficient bathroom fixtures and lighting

     Remodel the "old" women's bathroom & create a janitors room in place of the former men's bathroom
*Install new hot water baseboard heating for the meeting room in the basement (2013)
*New computerized theater lighting, assisted listening devices, and electrical upgrades (2015)
*Motorize the basement entry door (2015)
*Furnace installed by the Town of Brandon for the main floor of the Hall (2016)

* Windows on the main floor all rehabed so they open/close, screens added (2016-2017)
*Stage Flooring completely replaced, along with expanding the apron (2017-2018)
* Converted theater lighting to energy efficient lights (2018)

Projects Still to be Done:

Roof!  It leaks and has had two repairs in 2013.  The roof is the original slate.  It needs to be removed, saving the slate.  The guano from bats and pigeons (4+ inches thick) will be removed and insulation installed.  Timbers will be repaired/replaced as needed.  Plywood will be laid down on the timbers and covered with a membrane before the slate is replaced with copper hangers.  Estimated cost - $300,000.

Cooling System to make the summer months more comfortable.  Estimated cost - $100,000

The Balcony  needs to be inspected for its structural integrity, all the chairs need to be repaired (we're hoping to save those that have horsehair in the cushions!), and the flooring refinished.  Estimated cost - $75,000

The Ceiling  Because of the leaks in the roof, and the subsequent moisture, some of the lath and plaster has cracked and in several places fallen.  Estimated cost - $75,000

Caterer's Kitchen will be in part of the meeting room in the basement.  It will include a convection oven, refrigerator, and three-bay sink.  Estimated cost - unknown.
